About Olmeca's last post

"is it in board game rule that battleship only repairs on beginning of round and always on aa-gun? (would be more realistic)"

No to both, as board game rules reads:

- "if a battleship survives a combat having taken one hit, return it upright to the game board" which means it is repaired as soon as the combat ends;

- "An antiaircraft gun may only fire at an air unit when that unit attacks the territoy containing that aircraft gun".

About the realism consideration :
- I think planes going to bomb a territory would fly so high above the territory in between to make the in between AA fire higly ineffective, morover guns would not be spread evenly but concentrated around potential targets so planes needed just to detour around them.
- I do not know about the BB, history shows damaged BBs used to be heavily shielde d and brought to safety quite quickly, and a few others finished off by a stray subs before getting to a naval base. York cruiser was crippled by suicide italian explosive motorboat and later finished off by Luftwaffe. Anyway I prefer the board game rule for gamebalance reason: 20 credit is a huge expense, and the double hits is the only thing that makes the 4/4 BB still interesting as compared to the 12 credit 3/3 cruiser, if that advantage was limited I for sure would never buy BB

Sorry forgot to answer you Olmeca:

We are playing by the book and the offical FAQ - then we wont have any confusion. We use the ladder Rules for bidding.

So as humantorpedo said: no too both

Hi packersplus:

1) click "Ladder", and then "Join Competition".
2) go to http://dice.tripleawarclub.org/ and register the email you want to use for the ladder (you will a lot of email).

First round already started, but no worries!
You will be substitute for round 1 and get a opponent for round 2. If a second player sign in the next weeks, you will get him to play for round 1.

Have fun playing,

Best regards

Hi yama,

isnt it possible to substitute Cow for jonasguy. I think if you join a tournament you should be able to start a game during 5 days. If not, you cant complain, that you are out.

i would really like to play my first round. I am not in for points, i am in to play.

thx and best,

epinikion.

Yeah I haven't played all you guys in a long time. I think I have to register with marty servers again.

Epinikion, with forum/pbem games, sometimes it takes a week or two for people to realize pairings are up. after that things go smoother

that's how long it took for me to get my match started on the axis and allies forum... i was demoralized, 8 uk drop with 2 fig 1 bomber took down 5 inf 7 tank and 3 fighters. that was a sad way for me to lose.

- that's why I vowed my next A&A tourney would be low luck.
