What are the settings likely to be? Ie tech/nt, dice/ll etc. What were the rules in past editions?

Since Serghis is putting this together, he has the official decision. In the past, ladder rules have been followed. The default was LL, notech, TTL, PBEM...but if both players agreed, other arrangements can be made. In ToC III it was bid down for Axis, with the top seeded player starting the bidding. Usually we allowed 2-3 weeks for each game, with arbitration at some point if a decisive conclusion was not reached.

Seems like a 16-player field might be more realistic for ToC IV...but again, up to Serghis if he thinks he can get 32. Looking forward to it!

I think last year when we had the rankings on the old ladder, seeding might have worked better. Now, it might just be better if you randomize?

Since I'm not playing, I'd be happy to be on a arbitrartion panel if needed, lemme know.

i enjoy replaying games of other top players and therefore suggest to agree to play all games with the same triplea version and archive them on the server after they are played. dont know if thats easily possible? just a suggestion.

Nice suggestion polarole. It wouldn't take any effort to upload the finished game files as attachments when the result is posted.

Serghis, is it definitely ll/nt then? I ask because all the tournaments I've participated in before have been dice. Might need to get a few warm-up ll games in....
